Faculty Dean Responsibilities

• Overall management of the faculty dean’s office and staff;
• Ensuring the training of qualified specialists, direct leadership of educational, methodological, scientific, and moral-upbringing activities, compliance with state educational standards, curricula, and programs;
• Organizing and monitoring the preparation of class schedules and ensuring discipline;
• Organizing the defense of final qualification works by students and their participation in the state attestation;
• Coordinating and managing the preparation of textbooks, educational and methodological guides related to faculty programs;
• Ensuring the wide application of new information technologies in the educational process and their mastery by teaching staff;
• Leading the work of the Faculty Methodological Council;
• Organizing and conducting scientific and methodological conferences, inter-departmental meetings, seminars, and discussions on relevant topics, including innovations in their field, scientific and technical development, and the socio-economic development of the country;
• Establishing cooperation with related higher education and training institutions, including institutions in developed foreign countries;
• Considering appeals within the scope of authority.

Required Knowledge

• Laws relevant to faculty activities;
• Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers;
• Resolutions and orders of the Ministry of Transport;
• The essence of the institute director’s orders and the institute’s annual and strategic plans.

Qualification Requirements

• Professional and organizational skills necessary for a management position in educational institutions, leadership experience in the education sector, and relevant knowledge and competencies within the scope of activities and authority;
• Personal qualities: intelligence, culture, leadership, creativity, politeness, organizational skills, initiative and entrepreneurial abilities, responsibility, independent decision-making and action, consistency, and orientation towards achieving strategic goals of the institution;
• Higher education, master’s degree, candidate or doctor of science, academic title of professor or associate professor;
• At least 5 years of effective work experience in the faculty’s field.
