Key Responsibilities of the Head of Department:

• Program Development: Creating specialized programs for gifted youth across faculties and departments.

• Workshops & Recognition: Conducting seminars/trainings and organizing award ceremonies for high-achieving students.

• Strategic Partnerships: Establishing ties with national research centers and scientific institutions for joint courses.

• Selection for Excellence: Selecting talented youth for prestigious national and international competitions and Olympiads.

• Operational Reporting: Advising leadership on educational gaps and proposing solutions for improvement.

• Staff Management: Defining duties for subordinates and coordinating personnel changes (hiring/transfers/terminations).

• Confidentiality: Maintaining strict professional secrecy regarding institutional activities and sensitive data.

Rights & Authority:

• Representing the Institute (under the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation) in interactions with other HEIs.

• Proposing staff incentives for high performance or disciplinary actions for labor violations.

• Requesting necessary resources and support from senior leadership to fulfill departmental goals.

Liability:

• Accountable under the Labor, Administrative, and Civil Codes of Uzbekistan for non-performance of duties or causing material damage to the Employer.
