Duties

The Department for Student Internship Organization and Employment Support (hereinafter referred to as the “Department”) is a structural unit responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2022 No. PQ-414 “On Measures to Further Improve the System of Training Personnel and Scientific Research in the Field of Physical Education and Sports”, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 3, 2023 No. PQ-200, as well as the Regulation “On the Qualification Internship of Students of Higher and Secondary Special Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, approved by the Orders of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 30, 1998 No. 305 and June 13, 2022 No. 202, with the aim of strengthening students’ theoretical knowledge in practice, improving the level and quality of their professional training, and providing support during the internship period.

Tasks and Functions of the Department

  1. Ensuring the organization of student internships in organizations corresponding to educational programs and specialties.
  2. Studying the processes of organizing student internships, analyzing the results, developing identified problems and proposals, and submitting them to the institute administration.
  3. Studying advanced foreign and national experience in organizing student internships and preparing proposals for its implementation.
  4. Preparing analytical information on the organization of internships.
  5. Developing departmental work plans and ensuring their implementation, organizing career days based on the work plans of departments and organizations.
  6. Concluding contracts with internship organizations for the upcoming calendar year no later than December 1 each year.
  7. In cooperation with departments, developing internship programs and required documentation, and forming a database of students assigned to internships.
  8. Visiting internship sites prior to the start of internships to ensure necessary preparations for receiving students.
  9. Ensuring the organization of student internships in relevant organizations, institutions, and enterprises.
  10. Studying and analyzing internship processes, developing problems and proposals, and submitting them to the institute administration.
  11. Preparing analytical reports on internship organization.
  12. Developing practical proposals for organizing the export of educational services and implementing relevant measures.
  13. Ensuring the conduct of organizational activities prior to students’ departure for internships.
  14. Supervising the preparation of student scientific conferences based on internship results and participating in the work of commissions assessing internship outcomes.
  15. Placing admission quotas in the “HEMIS” information system.
  16. Forming graduate records in the “HEMIS” information system.
  17. Monitoring the employment of graduates in the “Students” section of the “HEMIS” information system.
  18. In cooperation with heads of departments, establishing interaction with regional and district employment authorities to facilitate graduate employment, accepting internship reports, and submitting relevant information to the academic and methodological department.
