As part of efforts to ensure the implementation of the tasks outlined in Resolution No. PQ-289 and Decree No. PF-73 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute is paying particular attention to the effective organization of students’ teaching practice, enhancing their professional preparedness, and strengthening cooperation with partner institutions serving as practice bases.
Currently, the Institute has signed agreements with 95 organizations and enterprises for student internships. These include 78 general education schools, 10 state preschool education organizations, 3 academic lyceums, 2 Olympic and Paralympic sports training centers, 1 specialized sports school, and 1 specialized art school.
Under the “4+2” model, a total of 3,372 students are undertaking practical teacher training at these institutions, including 1,863 third-year students and 1,509 fourth-year students. In addition, 807 students are engaged in employment under this arrangement.
To review the organization of the process and the conditions provided for teaching practice, the Institute’s Rector, Shahzoda Negmatova, visited General Education Schools No. 4 and No. 7 in Samarkand. During the visits, particular attention was paid to the teaching practice of third- and fourth-year students, the application of their theoretical knowledge in practical settings, opportunities to develop professional skills, and cooperation with practice supervisors.
The effective organization of practical teacher training depends on consistent cooperation between faculties, departments, the Student Internship Office, and partner institutions. Therefore, systematic coordination of the practice process, ensuring the necessary conditions for students, and enhancing their professional preparedness remain key priorities.
